Title: JVC QL-Y5F Tone-Arm problems
Post by: glennd on 9 Jan 2018, 10:58 pm
Hello! I'm looking for someone with some experience in trouble shooting and repairing tone-arm and operational issues with a JVC QL-Y5F model turntable.

First, I have confirmed that the main board is good by swapping it into a functional unit.
- The platter starts spinning immediately after Power button is set ON. - Start/Stop does not initiate tone-arm movement. - Then it will not lift and return at the end of the LP.

On a second unit the tone-arm won't move in any direction and Start/Stop has no effect.

I'm open to listen to any input anyone may have please!? Thank you.

First off, welcome to AudioCircle.

The best two sites for vintage turntable repairs tips are Vinylengine.com and Audiokarma.org. That's been my experience. Good luck.
