Title: RIP: Mundell Lowe
Post by: CSI on 3 Dec 2017, 07:46 pm
Lowe was a fine jazz guitarist who backed Billy Holliday and played with some of the best jazz musicians of the day (Bill Evans, Charles Mingus, Charlie Parker, et al). He had a long gig on the Tonight Show Orchestra and after "retiring" to San Diego he continued to play lengthy sets at local clubs well into his 90's. Another good one gone.
