I suspect it will be a lot sexier on the speaker and finished!  Black Limba or Tineo are my first choices currently, though I'm circling in on HT2-TL.

Quan....  what is the name of that black and white veneer.  I've not run across anything natural with such dramatic contrast!  Some of the ebonys come close but not with such pure white.
