Can I listen to strictly Acoustic Country Music with the speakers mentioned or should I open a new thread?

Currently I'm using a few pairs of speakers to listen to Jazz.  They are Klipsch LSI splits, Kef 107, and Dahlquist DQ-10.  All are different and sound different, but they can all play jazz very well.

Thanks

Don

My Focal Grande Utopia's are great for Jazz (and so they should be, for the price). I also have a pair of JBL M2's... the compression drivers in these are great for brass, but do need a well-tamed room so they're not too bright.

Our Magico M3s play all types of music well. The Magico A5s are more economical and do a fantastic job as well.

However, I believe that the synergy of the entire system matters. With my gear Magicos do well, but with other gear another speaker maybe a better fit.

For me, for acoustic music like jazz, Maggies and my Philharmonics have sounded the best.
So so natural and very reminiscent of live performances.

No one markets speakers for jazz listeners. Great speakers will play every genre well.

The most realistic speakers I've heard reproducing small-combo jazz have been pure electrostatics. They're fast, coherent, and extraordinarily transparent. When I think jazz, I think of situations where I'm in a relatively small room, probably within 20 feet or so of the stage. Electrostatics reproduce air, transients, breath, shimmer, fingers sliding along strings, etc., like nothing else.
Granted, there's a lot more to music than just that and there are a lot of different jazz styles, but I'm not sure that anything does intimacy better than an electrostatic.

Agree! But I've never heard a (non-mega-buck) system yet that plays ALL genres exceedingly well. For example, my system (with Pure Audio Project Trio15 Horn1 speakers) plays all genres VERY well. But with jazz and vocals, they sound extraordinary.

Jazz and vocals are typically recorded better than most other genres.

For Jazz I would use only hi efficiency speakers as Klipsch RF7 100dB.

Have you ever listened to a pair?

Klipsch sensitivity spec minus 5 or 6 dBs to compare to most other brands.

Not RF7, but have experience with Forte2.
What brand/model you are referring?
