To stream Tidal loseless music through my Hi Fi rig do I need something like an Aurender n100 server to get the digital file to my DAC?
I prefer to use an Aurender and not a mac mini or cpu.
Is an aurender the right solution to stream loseless music to my DAC?
thank you

The Auralic products will do the same job for less. So all depends on what you are comfortable paying.
-
Auralic is good - but Aurender sound better & have better integration / UI with Tidal. If you can afford it, spend the extra money on an N100h. Otherwise Auralic products are the next best / less expensive option.
-
If in the Aurender price range then look at the Lumin D1.
-
Lumin D1 is good, but needs a third party linear power supply to bring it up. Sbooster LPSs are popular with these and reasonable cost ($330).

since I would only be streaming music from Tidal or Apple music to my DAC is the Aurender n100 the right solution?
or is there something simpler that will fill my needs?
I would like to go with the Aurender since I heard such great things about it.
thank you for the leads.
btw how does Apple Music sound streaming through a hi fi rig?

Aurelic Altair: $1900 server/DAC, built in HD/SSD can be added. Good blend between convenience, compactness, and sound quality. New product, reviews undoubtedly will be forthcoming.

I already have a DAC.

There is nothing simpler to use or that sounds better or that is as reliable or has as good tec support. Get an N100 and be happy.
I'd spend the $200-400 more for the 2-4b's versions. Even if you don't need or use it, it will help the resale if you decide to upgrade later.
