Hope I am on the right thread, any good source "cheap" for sorbothane isolation control for speakers and other stereo needs.  I am not looking for the matt type of damping but the rubber type balls, any links or info would be greatly appreciated! Sorbothane spikes, balls, etc?

These are a bargain, just make sure to adhere to their weight limits and keep them away from extreme heat.

Have a look at "Happy/Unhappy Balls" from Arbor Scientific.  I use them under all of my components which sit on a maple hardwood floor.   I can not feel the slightest vibration travel through to my components.

Find them herehttp://www.arborsci.com/detail.aspx?ID=362  They were backordered, for good reason, a while but I think they are shipping again.   I found that 4 balls can easily support a 50-70lb amp and the balls can be halved if you want.  They are about 3/4"-1" dia.   As a side note, these are probably rebadged by some audio tweak companies and sold for quite a bit more

Christof-  Do you use the "happy" or the "unhappy" balls under your equipement?

I guess I should have mentioned that, ironically, I use the Unhappy balls  .  The happy balls make great dog toys for my huskies.

Thanks Christof, I think I'll give then a try.  I have a piece of heavy wood beam, 5" thick x 18" deep which was left over from construction.  I am finishing it now.  I should made a dandy platform for my amps and preamp!
