With a used dryer sheet- it still has the antistactic properties in it, just let it glide over your platter while it is turning. That should cure your pesky static problem!

Or, a soft carbon fiber brush.  I use a Discwasher. too, then a soft CF brush.  It is not necessary to use a washer before every play.

I used both methods. I ended up using the my carbon fiber brush on the platter . From the edge to the spindle, it grounds out on the spindle. And it just cleans up the clutter around your table.
