I just picked that up last Friday. I like it a lot. Very quiet pressing and I like the mix.

Plus a bonus booklet. What a buy for 22 bucks!

You're so lucky on the Kinks. Impossible to find Arthur, I think they get snatched up right away. Make sure you have a copy of Village Green Preservation Society and Something Else by the Kinks...just in case!

Paul

I'm looking for a clean copy of Village Green.

I've been looking for a while for an original, cheap, NM copy of Dusty in Memphis.  Finally gave up and just got an original NM copy. Listening as I type.  So far money well spent.  Worth it just for "Son of Preacher Man".

Good day at the local record store...

Charlie Parker with strings from the mid 50's on a 10" Mercury  w/ Ray Brown and Buddy Rich
It's a bit noisy but great music

Oscar Peterson Sings on a 10" Clef

Ed Thigpen  "Out of the Storm"  on a Mono Verve w/ Kenny Burrell, Clark Terry, Herbie Hancock, and Ron Carter
This is damn fine jazz.

Those are two great albums! That pressing of Faith No More is so good that I had to pick up their Mr. Bungle reissues. You must have quite a collection there. You do your shopping online or in store?

Almost all of it is bought online.  Most of my new 180g and 200g vinyl buys are through Acoustic Sounds.  I will use other sources occasionally, such as Elusive Disc, SoundStage Direct, and Music Direct.  There are also a few sellers on eBay that I trust.  I get to record stores only a few times per year.

I'll have to check those sources out, not that I need help spending money on vinyl.  :nono: Most of my stuff comes from Amazon, Popmarket and Discogs sellers. I really like VYNL's curated service too, I joined their Kickstarter campaign and for $22 got nine records and six were brand new. If you don't mind not being able to select the albums personally, for $320 you can get a year of three records a month. I call it record kamikaze.  8)

Acoustic Sounds is my favorite on line retailer. Chad is a great guy and they stand behind what they sell. Plus their QRP division is pressing some great vinyl. I buy most of my records, new and used from my local B & M dealer. I also shop used stores as I travel on business. I have had much better luck with Discogs than eBay when I can't find a used record I want in a store.

Returned from St. Augustine after going to the Violent Femmes concert at the St. Augustine Amplitheater.  Before the show my wife and I stopped by the Tone Vendor record store and came out with some great music, the Counting Crows and Muddy Waters were birthday gifts from my wife purchased off Discogs and Heckler here on audiocircle.
