Nuprime after nuforce mca 20
« on: 9 Feb 2022, 09:42 pm »
Hi all. new to the forum, but long time nuforce user (avp18+mca20+ELAC fs249)
Listening mostly to rock and especially metal (including black metal yes: hard and fast and at times/often poor recording as well ...)
Difficult music as all frequency range is important
I'm happy with my set-up, but due to the poor acoustic of my room, I lack some depth in the upper bass / low medium and the treble are becoming too aggressive as I play louder
Difficult to change the acoustic as it is in the living room .. open to a kitchen
I was considering changing my amp and nuprime is the natural continuity
I have an opportunity to get a nuprime mch-K48 at a local dealer
Or move to any nuprime newer products STA-X, ST10 (maybe too "dry"), AMG STA of r MCX
What do you think?

For your music preference, either MCX series (under Nuprime-X sub-brand) or STA-9X.
AMG STA will be a little too soft for rock and metal and ST-10 might be to neutral so you want the MCX or STA-9X with slight warmth.
