Lots of people are using Kempers and Fractals these days.  Digital modeling of amplifiers is quite common, especially for bands who are flying to gigs and don't want to deal with amplifiers.  It yields a more consistent sound for the engineers mixing the show since tube amps and speakers are sensitive to voltage and temperature fluctuations.  Plus, the digital modeling has gotten to be really good.
