 Forgive my lack of computer savvy but I've never understood what down loadable upgrades supposed to do for my BCD1 . Do they improve the final sonic ability of the player or just change the way it works.................thanks for any enlightment.

On the remote punch in CODE 242 - that will turn the display off - then each time you hit 0 (zero) on the remote the display will toggle on/off

  These updates seem pointless. The cd1 works fine without srewing with the best. If it ainn't broke ,don't fix it.
