Upgrade bug bite again
« on: 27 Feb 2020, 06:57 pm »
Bought used SWL 9.0SE not long ago but recently update bug strike again.
I want to stay with  Modwright preamp for now, looking at SL100 as upgrade path. I am using McIntosh MC7270 as amp with Sierra-2 speakers.
Sound I am looking for from a system must have liquid mid, airy, detailed yet not overly clinical with fat low end (plenty of bass).
Would LS100 be a good candidate?

I have the LS100, excellent line stage, the optional phonostage is ok but if you are a serious vinylphile I would consider getting the externl phonostage that Dan offers
