Heading out in the van in about an hour.  Hopefully, it'll be an uneventful 800 mile drive  :duh:

See y'all there.

I arrived in Denver today. Going to be windy and cold tomorrow, forecast is 60's and sunny for the fest. I'll be at the Marriott tomorrow helping Marjorie with last minute set up for the show. I look forward to meeting many of you. See you at the bar at 6 pm Friday if not before.

I've been in Colorado Springs since last Friday doing some kayaking and hiking with long time friends. Yesterday I took the FREX up to Denver and am now hanging at my bro's house, he has Friday off and we'll be at the door when RMAF opens. See y'all at the bar.

Swung by for a few hours today to do a quick scouting for tomorrow, briefly met LonewolfNY42, Louis from Omega and Vinyl Lady before I had to head home. Thanks for the CD Chris.

Rooms that I intend on spending a bit of time exploring:

Lotus Granada speakers - open baffle full range speakers using Feastrex full range driver with 2 sub woofers. Very reminiscent of the DIY open baffle Lowthers Nelson Pass showed 2 years ago. Bonus, someone was playing Ramstein when I listened to them, and they were up to the task.

GR Research - the V1's (?) sounded good, maybe a tad too dynamic for my tastes, but I wasn't familiar with the music, so I look forward to a better listen tomorrow.

Virtue Audio - impressive mini amps and maybe a DAC in a room with some cool speakers - GR V2 (?), Omega Stick and some others. Also the RWA battery power supply. Nothing was playing when I went in today, but definitely interesting stuff.

Legacy Audio - First time I've seen the Whispers and the Helix, and they sounded great, they were one of the first I remember doing a variation on open baffle bass.

Analysis Audio - Nice ribbon (?) speakers that sounded really good.

The First Watt room, since the last 2 shows it has been one of my favorites.

Channel D - Pure Vinyl room - as near as I can tell this does pretty much what Amarra does, and has all the Vinyl digitizing capabilities already functioning, for a lot less and without the oppressive copy protection. Nice demo and nice informative people. Plus the next release has gapless playback from RAM, which is very important for classical and live albums.

Plus whatever else sticks out tomorrow.
