If you don't want to go the DIY route I have a factory Tap-X available for sale.

PM's responded to.

No, this is not balanced. It's the 6 input RCA version with Slagle Autoformer modules.

Hello!

Sorry to miss this one - thanks guys for responding! I still do all the parts and modules to DIY up a TAP-X unit and also some OEM's use those parts inside too. Finally we will have a case option for DIY builds - I am due to get the first of those here this week.  Looking forward to that!

Thansk!

Yes, balanced input and outputs and RCA inputs and outputs and even switches on the fly all by itself.  I love it!

I'd love to see a photo of the back side   :o
Is it possible to use the unbalanced inputs but use the balanced outputs?
All my source components are unbalanced but I use two sets of balanced outputs because my active xover and amps run balanced ins.

Awe man that looks sweet  :thumb:
It looks like you have 2 sets of unbalanced ins, 2 sets of balanced ins, 2 set of unbalanced and balanced outputs and a tape loop, Is that correct?
Did you build this yourself or is it factory?

Yes that is correct.

You can purchase all parts through John Chapman (Bent Audio) and put it together.

No it did not sell but that's okay, I'm going to keep it if I can. I'll have a Tap-X someday then I'll be able to switch between a tube pre and
the Tap-X and have the best of both worlds. Your setup must sound amazing.

Can someone offer a general estimate of cost for a Tap-X with balanced to unbalanced output?
