Ordered Song3's

After finally hearing the Song 3's I've gone ahead and made my deposit on a pair of them and a Song 3 center. Initial thoughts were to go with curly maple with silver gray dye and black burst edges. However, I'm very tempted to go with zebrawood with a light-medium black dye and black burst edges. There's one in Jim's gallery and it looks amazing to me.

Congrats, hope your wait isn’t too long! I’m fortunate to live only 30 minutes drive from Jim’s place. The day after my SS8S were ready it was just a short drive to pick them up. Use your wait time time to line up some demo tunes. The demo disk Jim included with my speakers was also very good.

Congrats! I ordered my BeAT's yesterday. I noticed your first post on the thread was in February. So is a 7 month lead time about normal or was that a Covid effect? Either way looking forward to seeing pics and reading your listening impressions!

They were shut down for 2 months due to covid, and things were probably slowed down after that due to new safety measures.

Hi,

These speakers will rise to the occasion and the better quality amps etc will really make them really sing. I heard these speakers fed via a Macintosh integrated amplifier and they were very nice indeed.

Delivery came yesterday! Jim did a great job on the finish. It's standard curly maple, but he knew I really liked the striations of something like fiddleback and he definitely nailed it.
