This is for Jim, or anyone else who's spent some time with these two models. 

Since the new supercharged Songtowers are selling for the same price as the HT1-TL, I was wondering what the relative strengths and weaknesses of these two speakers are.  My priority is music listening, and I'd be interested in hearing how you think they'd compare both in a 2-channel setup and in a 2.1 channel setup with a high quality subwoofer like a sealed 15-inch Rythmik.

I haven't heard the SC-ST's, but on paper they are more efficient (87dB I believe) and should have better power handling.  They'll fill a room easier as well IMO.

there does seem to be a lot of overlap between the ever growing speaker lines which does make things a little confusing on the salk site. maybe it's time to concentrate the web site on the more mainstream lines and group some of the more esoteric designs to a seperate page (maybe expand the "other speakers" page). since jim will basically build whatever someone likes, you can never really list all his speakers on one web site anyways.
