1950's 12" Magnavox Driver info?

Another old speaker question... I have an old, 1950's, Magnavox 12" driver that came out of a tube system with a receiver and turntable. The driver weighs a few pounds, has a transformer with 3 of 5 wires feeding into what I assume to be the primary.  The other 2 go directly into the speaker. The transformer feeds 2 wires, probably out of the secondary, to the speaker. The cover over the magnet has "583093" stamped on it and the basket has "P232 116 1D3903" stamped on it. Any ideas on specs or any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It is a field coil speaker, using an electromagnet to activate the voice coil, as opposed to a magnetized alloy also common during this period. Very likely it runs on a nine volt power supply that ran off of the power supply for the console amplifier.
