The DAC-9H differs from DAC-9 with additional balanced 4.4mm ‘Pentaconn’ socket and 3.5mm standard stereo headphone outputs that support Single Ended Unbalanced, Fully Balanced and Active Balanced Ground Driving headphone amplifier.
We only added headphone amp, the rest remains exactly the same.

While the Sony Balanced connector is an interesting addition, I would have hoped for a more professional 1/4" phone plug rather than the cell-phone earphones 3.5mm connector.

Also, the wording error of "Balance" without the D also found in the back connections is something that should have been corrected.

Strangely enough, the literature on the web page correctly describes the "Balanced" audio connector, yet the case reads "Balance".

I will forever insist that attention to ALL details is important.  If the same 'lack of care' were put into resistor values or cap capacity, then the amp will be really poor.  Why is it less important to write correctly?

There is a much simpler explanation.  Non native English engineers. They can design the best electronics in the world, but handling the language could be a problem.  I reviewed the website but missed the case.

Regardless of whether you can fit "Connector" on there, it's still "Single Ended" and "Balanced":

I work in localization. We think about these things all the time, even if it makes our heads hurt.

Another thing that makes my head hurt? That low-end 3.5 mm jack. IMHO it should be the professional 1/4" size.

The noun is "Connector", even if it's not there. Don't think about it too much or your head will hurt. Just rely on native speakers and industry-standard usage.

Singaporean English may actually be more correct in other cases, but "Balanced" and "Single-Ended" are the industry standard.

I'm surprised, as in my experience the "9" line includes smooth AKM-based DACs and warm amps, while the "10" line is neutral ESS-based DACs and reference amps. No?

Headphone amp is totally different from the DAC and we use discrete transistor to craft the circuit (instead of opamp)

No worries, I understood (I think). So it has a different amp? Where does it place on your amp comparison chart? As I don't like my STA-6 but very much like my STA-9 and have similar tastes in headphone amplifiers, this is important to me.
