Roll call...

We're having dinner on Saturday evening like we did last year; get in touch with me or Phil.

I'm in for sure.  I really couldn't think of a better place than Dogfish Head Inn.  I did some "scouting" later that night, strictly for research purposes, and there's not a lot of life elsewhere along that strip.  I'm sure if someone knows Gathersburg and Rock Creek better there are alternatives, but Ill be stopping in there at some time during the weekend.

For Food:

Rio is right down the road and may have restaurants that interest people.

Mamma Lucia's couple of blocks down the street but usually busy on Friday/Sat night.

That's Amore a block away....(if it is still there)

Down in the Dogfish Head area...the Kentlands Area...more restaurants there.

Dogfish is fine; that chicken last year was good.

I'm in.  I met some of you last year at the bar in the event hotel, but was not able to join you for dinner.  My loss.  See you in July.

Also debating on if we could meet for lunch. Nothing major, just a lunch special/appetizer snack at whatever chain bar-n-grill is in the area.

new to the circle, many years on audio asylum and i live 5 minutes away from the hotel - anybody wanna come over for a listening session?  I have nice vintage stuff and could host a few guys - some food/drink, maybe audition some stuff in my system

plenty of great places to eat in the area as well, including some of the best Asian and central American in the country!  would love to meet up with a group of you

We're going to Dogfish for dinner; maybe we can stop by before we go to the Fest or after dinner.

I'm on the other side of the hill, in Cumberland, but planning on coming to the show this year.  I have a friend in DC I'll be staying with, but would enjoy meeting some of you all and sharing a few drinks.

I had a nice lunch there, can't remember what I ordered, but I remember liking it whatever it was.  I recall several saying they enjoyed the band, that Stereophiler guy played I understand, what's his name.....

Food at the hotel was decent, but expensive IMO - compared to what is close by.

But going out, then trying to find a parking space back at the hotel could prove eating at the hotel a good idea.

I agree, all hotel food at these venues is pricey, but giving up a well fought for parking place is not worth the couple of bucks difference to me.  And the time lost as well.  I think I'm just going to do one day this year and I don't want to waste any time driving around during show hours.

I thought it worked out great having a couple of drinks around the lunch hour at the little hotel bar there, it gave a chance to meet and greet all the AC'ers no matter what their plans for later in the evening were.  Only four of us went out to dinner, a couple of guys got together at someones home for dinner, but 10 or so stopped at the bar for a drink and/or handshake.  Makes for a nice no obligation time for AC'ers to put a face to a name.

Has the dinner evening and place been decided for the AC group for CAF2012?

Would like to join if possible if there are any openings left.

Sounds good to me.  Will meet at the drawing on Satuday and go from there.
