Regular grungebuster Dots work superbly between maple platforms and shelf. If you have particular macro-type vibration like footfall issues, Extra-thick grungebuster Dots would be most appropriate.
We have lots and lots of customers who have replaced cork-and-rubber pads like Isoblocks with grungebuster Dots for even better results under hard maple and other platforms and butcher blocks. Grungebuster Dots don't have the reverberant tendencies of Isoblocks, deal better with the very high-frequency acute micro vibrations that can cause glare, and are more sonically neutral. Like Vibrapods and Sorbothane, Isoblocks are sort of a midfi-at-best product. Isoblocks actually are made of a construction material, not anything specifically formulated for audio applications.
