Need help with 6SN7 tubes for Don Sachs Pre

These may be a little on the expesive side but are the best 6SN7's I have used to date. The Linlai 6SN7's are very nice and better than the Tung-Sol, Sylvania, Sovtek, Northern Electric I have used. They at least 100+ hours before they sound their best.

Because they are kind fat and oddly shaped, I was wondering if they'd fit without the glass touching?

I have the néw blue glass round Psvane and absolutely love them. I have some RCA 5962 en route as well. The blue glass fits with 3mm to spare.

Morgan, which vintage of the Sachs? Older wood top, or newer metal?

It’s less than a year old. And has the metal plate yes. I didn’t get the balanced output which I now wish I had though.

Yeah that’s what I suspected. I have the older wood top, and the spacing between tubes is narrower. The standard ST shape tubes by Psvane and Shuguang just barely fit without touching.

+1 for that. Try tall bottle 7N7 Sylvania's. They are the direct ancestor of the 6SN7.
