I have the BP26DA and recently updated my system replacing my BDP-1 with a BDP-3. I am slowly upgrading my system with the intent to get a BDA-3 DAC. Here is my dilemma. The BDP-3 sounds amazing with the DAC in the BP26DA. A much larger improvement in SQ than I thought. I don't need anything more than 96/24 resolution or DSD...format wise I'm good.
Has anybody had the same experience THEN upgraded to the BDA-3? If so, was there a ANOTHER significant improvement in SQ?
Is the 13 yr old DAC in my BP26DA still on par if the BDP-3 is doing the "heavy lifting" for the DAC... essentially eliminating all jitter and noise ?
