Is anybody using aftermarket feet on their X3’s. Any recommendations?

I use IsoAcoustics GAIA II's on the X5's and have found that they work very well. Use the search function on this circle and you will see many comments on these feet and some very good alternatives others have also tried with success.

Thanks. Is the required thread size one of the defaults they include or do you have to get a special size?

Check out Herbies Audio Labs also.

They include a variety, but the included ones fit like a glove  :thumb:

2nd herbies labs. They don't alter the frequency response.

I went with the ISO Acoustics GAIA IIs.  Pricey, but I figure spending this much on speakers, why not?  Clayton will send you the bolts that fit the X3 and GAIA IIs.

Do the GAIA II's increase the height of the speakers?

Here is my solution for the X5's on thick carpeting. Simple, cheap, effective.

I have four of these grippy vibration absorbing pads under each board. The little 2 x 2 inch pads cost about $20 on eBay for a box of about 20, so about $1 each.

Hi,

I am thinking of getting Gaia II feet for my X5's but want to make sure that they will not raise the speaker height. Currently I am using the provided spikes and floor cups. These put the bottom of the metal base 1.5 inches from the floor.

Could someone with Gaia II's and X5/X3's please measure that distance for me? Or measure the minimum height that a Gaia can be set to?

Thanks!
Paul

Thanks Tom!

Are these adjusted to their lowest position or do you have them set to raise slightly?

Much appreciated.

How are you finding those? I have something similiar sitting around. I got 4 of them free when I ordered a platform from Butcher Block Acoustics.

You won't regret the purchase.  I love having my X3s on the GAIA IIs.  They look gorgeous.  The engineering seems solid to me but I'm no engineer.  Equally important (LOL), psychologically it is satisfying to sit back while listening and see them doing their magic on my speakers.
