Im very tempted to buy them as my next upgrade. I'll wait for the reviews first.

Ed, you're a grado lover right?

Grado is the only brand of headphones I've ever owned. I haven't owned a pair for a couple of years now, but somehow I want those. $600 - it may be a while. Thanks for the post.

I have not heard PS500 but it looks just like the limited edition HF-2 ...
PS500 sits over the ears and HE-5s around the ear - dynamic vs ortho   ...

Grado you can plug right into an ipod and can sing with a low powered amp ...
orthos ... give them the juice and they fly off ...

There is no comparison between the two ... I know what I would go for ...
I have soft spot for grados ... but orthos are totally different animals ...

Now that I have the HE-5LE's and the modded Grado SR-125's to use I really feel like I could stop there and be happy until the lights go out, but......

They just look cool and I want some....hahahahaha

If you love the Grado sound, stick with it, but before you do give other cans a real chance. I bought Grado RS-1s over the top Sennheisers years ago and enjoyed them. That was 10-15 years ago, when they were highly rated and cost about $1000. A while ago I bought Senheiser HD800s, and found the RS-1s were unlistenable to my ear - smeared soundstage, shrill. A few weeks ago, I bought the LCD-2s, and while the HD800s still sound very good, the LCD-2s, to me, sound better. Moral? I always make a mistake when I don't open my ears to other options.

Noseyears, my headphone amp is Grace Designs m902. I listen to my music from a Bryston BDP-1 Digital Player, through a Bryston BDA-1 DAC. The Grace has a lot of bells and whistles on it I like, but I get the same quality of sound from my Bryston BDP26 preamp headphone jack. What is it about the Grados that you like?

I am a Grado dealer - have been dormant for years - but they told me once a Grado dealer, always a Grado dealer. Can I get you something?
I don't have any product in stock and I'm not even very familiar with the inventory, but I may be able to arrange a group buy if there is enough interest.

The question is how are these different from Grado limited ed HF-2s ... they were just ok for me ... I sold them at a little loss ...

Some say they are similar and some say that they are different and better ...
Are they similar to PS1000? I found them very colored ...
