From last year, hopefully I can go to some more balloon festivals this year.

......

Just FYI, I have used Photobucket to link all my photo's, they did a maintenance update 3 weeks ago and lost all my 1800+ photo's. I do have a back-up for the pictures, but no way can I re-link to all my post's for the last 10 years.

Awesome photos Pete!

Maybe Flickr?  I don't know if they do a "maintenace cycle" but I don't believe they do.  Maybe Buddy can give us some insight as he uses Flickr.

Hey!

PeteG, great balloons pics, I like the top one.

Anyway, a bit late on this but that's crazy that Photobucket would loose all your photos like that. I've never use Photobucket but I've been using Flickr since 2007 and they never lost a single photo. But I've read somewhere that Flickr does compressed your photo a bit, I'm not sure if they do this with both paid members and those who use it for free. I don't really relay on Flickr for storage, only to share them with friends and family. I back up my photos on 3 HDDs (3 copies of same files) and about half of my photos are taken with films and they just sit in a film storage boxes.

Although it would be suck if Flickr does loose all my photos since I have lots of my photos up there to share with family and friends. But so far so good with Flickr. Although, lately my friend been bugging me to join Instagram, not sure how I feel about that yet.

Take care,
Buddy

Yeah Buddy, I might move over to Flickr. I just use Photobucket to share photos.

Say, isn't that the elusive Pacific Coast Gooeyduck?

Oh, wait...no...no it isn't.

Let's see...I was 11 in 1968 and my pay was $15-20 per week between my paper route and the lawn mowing I could scrounge up.

Thanks, Bob.  Nice little blast from the past.

Bingo!

You are perhaps a collector of such nostalgia?

"Officially", not a collector. I've had some, and a couple folks have donated some more.
Kinda like folks giving away vinyl collections.
I'm actually culling the boxes. Keeping the cool stuff, giving the less cool stuff away, and trashing the dumb stuff.
I shot pics of some of the neatest things.

One more.... This is a magazine fold out. It's freeking MASSIVE!
It's eight pages of 8.5" x 11" magazine print.
If you look close, you can see the folds.
It is wider that my table saw is deep!

Boy howdy!  They sure don't make 'em like that anymore, eh?  Either the car or the fold-out!

That's a keeper in my book.  I'll see what I have in the "archives".  Not so much commercial print but some actual artwork by a friend.  It'll take me some time though as work is all absorbing right now and I'm prepping to move.  I have some interesting items to be sure.

A few "test shots" from the new Sony A99ll Camera. It arrived last week! There's a learning curve for sure, but this camera shows a lot of promise.  8)
