OK, here's the first frontfiring sub that I've done with a 12" driver, 350W amp, and LT circuit.  The enclosure is a 15" cube with an internal vertical brace and 1.5" thick baffle.  You'll notice in the picture that I still need grill guides in the top two holes but they should be here any day.  I just wanted to share pics of the sub at this point in time.

Brian, is that the result of your pre-built sub thread, or is it a new, lower-cost product idea experiment?  I assume the latter because the plate amp looks like a PE - or is it a Rythmic?  Anyway, I like the size and it should be an shoe-in for the WAF
Hint:  can you add some light to your photos?

Hank,

It's a Rythmik amp and is the result of the "prebuilt sub" thread.

George,

I haven't done any response measurements yet; just subjective listening.  The design calls for a natural F3 of 20Hz with a Qtc=.7.  It is extremely tight and articulate and seems to have very good extension.  I expect to be in the lower 20's without any trouble.  I hope to take some readings in the morning before I head to the shop.

Jason,

The driver is also from Rythmik.  A sub like this will be $800.

Brian,

Awesome pics! I'm glad to see you're keeping up the good work. What are the exterior dimensions again?

Thanks, Ran!

The enclosure itself is a 15" cube.  The grill will add 3/4" to the overall depth as well as another 1" or so for the amp's heatsinks.

Brian, did you have a chance to listen to the sub together with the new Metals? :)

Leon,

Yes I did and I'm extremely impressed with the entire setup.  Let's hope you are too! :)
