Title: So how good is the phono stage?
Post by: advanced101 on 18 Jun 2015, 04:31 pm
As the subject line says I'm wondering how good is the phono stage?  Did you replace a dedicated phono stage with the LIO?  Any disadvantages?

We are hearing a lot about digital audio, time to show some love for analog.

Hi advanced101,

I hope LIO owners with LIO Phonostage will chime in on this one, and I also want to mention that there
is a fully-configured LIO review coming out in Stereophile this Fall by Herb Reichert, and he should be
going into the phonostage.

Steve Guttenberg (Audiophiliac / CNET) has a LIO review coming out at the end of this month, and he is using
LIO's Phonostage.

Steven Stone of The Absolute Sound is currently reviewing LIO w/o phonostage for a Fall issue, but also wants
to do a follow up with the LIO Phonostage.

And John Darko of DAR did a review of LIO and mentioned the LIO Phonostage in the review.

I hope this helps,
