I'm particularly fond of Ecstasy of Gold, Trio, and a few others from Westerns. And the movie Get Carter had a couple of good tracks. But they are not Pop like songs.

So I'm going to have to cast my vote for Flashdance, runner up would be Must Have Been Love by Roxette.

I have two that I like:

Everybody Knows - Concrete Blonde from the Pump Up the Volume soundtrack. It is a cover of the Leonard Cohen song.

Hazy Shade of Winter - The Bangles from the Less Than Zero soundtrack. It is a cover of the Simon and Garfunkel song.

It is better to beg forgiveness than ask permission so I am going to post one of my all-time favorite songs. The movie turned me on to that song/album and an artist who became one of my favorite singer/songwriters. There is no complete sound track but I did find this clip from the movie.

Man, thanks for the random timely thread! I just scored an album I didn't even know existed because I gave up looking for it years ago. I have a lot of soundtracks in my collection and like (liked) them because before the Internet they were a great way to get mixes of music to check out bands I would have never heard of otherwise.
