What to do?
« on: 29 May 2005, 11:24 pm »
Im currently using a 9BSST with OB1's, DB1+, TB2+C.
I have been looking at other amps but nothing so far has really made me want to leave Bryston.

I don't think Im getting the best out of the OB1's (for music) with the 9BSST     so Im thinking of getting a 4BSST for 2ch duties. Would this give any real sonic benefits over the 9BSST? If so, what are the benefits apart from more power?

As for the other 3ch, I have been offered 3x120 powerpacs at a good price, but these are the ST version. Will this cause a noticeable sonic difference with the 4BSST?

Keep your 9B SST and get a 4B SST.

Use two channels of your 9B + 4B and bi-amp your OB1.
You will have a field day!

Get at least a SST for your center channel...or upgrade your TB2+ to the CC6 down the road.
