Title: Continuosly Adjustable Stands (NOT LECTERNS)
Post by: dlparker on 3 Aug 2015, 09:55 pm
I've chosen this circle to post in because my question seems to fit best here.

Does anyone know of any comercially available continuously adjustable speaker stands for home use? I've searched this site
and also on google and there are plenty of fixed increment adjustment audio speaker stands available, but the only continuously
adjustable 'speaker' stands I've found are lecterns.

Rich as in "I'll bet I could unload a couple of those 250' yachts that I don't use any more and buy these puppies!'? Just out of curiosity I tried to find the price,
but..

Now THIS product line I'm checking out to see what their absolute bottom-of-the-line stuff might run for..

Right!! Now I remember running across this company on one of my trips either into or out of the internet
rabbit hole. I've got so many ideas running through whatever is left of my mind (assuming I ever had one)
that I'm not surprised that something I'd already stumbled across would have escaped again.

This could be the one!

Thanks Phil!

LOL, I guess if you have to ask, then you can't afford them.

I have a pair of adjustable stands that I bought years ago from Ascend Acoustics.  Nothing special: black painted heavy gauge metal, one square hollow shaft roughly slides inside another with a nut to tighten at a range of heights, about $100/pair as I recall, but no longer available.  Small speaker wires can fit inside.  The shafts are tilted backwards.  Holes in each base allows spikes to be added.

You're welcome - was looking at speakers stands all over Amazon anyway to for use early next year in converting the in-ceiling surrounds as overhead channels for Atmos (when I get capability) and I have the new side surrounds awaiting the stands.

I checked out their  website. I know the company by reputation only, but the Sierra 1 was one I'd considered previously. These are the SP-30s, right? The website doesn't say anything about them being adjustable, but given they're not available anyway..

Right now the VideoSecu stands look like the most promising in terms of budget and flexibility..

I have Reference 3A speaker stands.  Continuously adjustable from 19-30".  I combine them with the Isoacoustic monitor supports, which have several tilt and height options as well.  These are a great combo.  Never had a situation they didn't allow me to optimize.

The Reference 3As are nice - forgot about them.  Someone I know (and was over his place about a week and a half ago ago admiring them while we swapped preamps in the system).
