Title: Greetings from Long Island, NY
Post by: fbny71 on 13 Jan 2020, 05:59 pm
Hello all.

In the past few years, I've returned to the hobby or should I say entered the hobby in earnest!

Currently running a Mobile Fidelity UltraDeck with MasterTracker cartridge through a Lounge Audio LCR MKIII as well as a Mac mini (Mid 2011) as a Roon Core through a Mytek Liberty DAC and Bryston BP 17 Cubed Preamp, Bryston 3B-ST Stereo Power Amp to Zu Audio Omen DW w/ Clarity Caps and Zu Audio Undertone.

Looking to get a BDA2 and another 3B-ST to run as monoblocks.

Hey!

Welcome to Audio Circle. Queens here, well technically you and I are on the same island.

By the way, how is the MoFi UltraDeck and the cart? That turntable look like a good no nonsense turntable.

I'm a Queens boy myself...grew up in Kew Gardens.

The UltraDeck and Mastertracker cart combo sounds incredible.

My only quip like with most of the new tables I've tried when compared with "vintage" tables is the construction quality. I've tried other new tables in the sub $500 range and decided to go back to vintage because for the same money you certainly get more bang for your buck. That said, I wanted a new table and being a Stereophile analog product of the year this was on the top of my list.

I'm not disappointed, it sounds great, looks great and is brand new with warranty, etc. I just thought it would be a bit more substantial as in hefty! I guess I have to spend twice as much. Seeing as I'm heading to an all or mostly Bryston set up, I wish I'd saved up a bit more for the BLP-1!
