I'm quite interested in these. I've just bought an Eastern Electric Minimax 8wpc amp and I'm looking for Inexpensive speakers. Can these sit on the ground or on a self close to the wall? I can't have stand mount or large floor speakers in my space. Thanks.

The Type 1 is not picky about placement, plus the rear port can be plugged.  As far as I know, Louis is putting spike inserts on the bottom of the Type 1 now, so it can be a shorter version of the tilted back Type 1.5.  Also, your amp will work very nicely with these speakers.
