Dodd preamp remote
« on: 28 Dec 2017, 01:12 am »
Hi All,

I think my luck will be better here in Danny's circle than any other.

I have a Dodd battery powered pre-amp which has a remote for volume only.  When I opened it to change the battery, I realized that the red lead from the battery to the board has separated from the board.  I don't know where to re-solder this lead.

Does anyone have a circuit design or photo of the inside of one of these remotes that might explain where I need to reconnect the lead?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Steven

I have Gary's remote for my buffer.

Post an internal picture of the remote and will point out where the battery + lead goes on the PC Board.

Here is the photo. The red lead is not connected.

If you turn it vertical you will see an extra solder pad beside the negative connection.  That is the red positive wire for the battery.

Hi all again,

I didn't notice that solder point on mine.  The black wire is probably hiding it.  I will look for it later today.

Thank you everyone.
