New bases for Iso-balls
« on: 26 Mar 2015, 01:46 pm »
Hi Steve . I see that the bases for the Iso-balls have changed. What are the benefits and can I just change the bases with my current Iso-ball setup?

Shouldn't be any need to change from your present set-up. The main benefit of the new base is that it creates a taller footer, beneficial for some turntables that have stuff under the plinth or chassis requiring a lot of footer height. Original and newer IsoBall bases both are superb; any subtle sonic differences between them might vary a little from one system to another according to system synergies and personal preference. Though you wouldn't find a substantial difference between them, it's just as likely you'd have a preference for the bases you already have.
