There appears to be a bug that the BDP-2 erroneously uses the same code as the BDA-1 for on/off and not the code it is supposed to use. This is quite frustrating since when trying to use these devices with a universal remote control, you cannot independently power them and they become out of sync (in this case with a Logitech remote control).

The BDP-2 really needs to use its own discrete remote control code.

Both BDA-2 and BDA-3 have the Same Codes (ON/OFF) same as the BDP-2

I talked to Mike Pickett for this issue and he said that is set for The BR-2 Remote

I use a Universal remote with HEX CODES and i have the same problem

It is not supposed to though.

The logitech database actually has an entirely different on/off code for the bdp-2. However, it does not work.

It is almost like after the fact, bryston changed the bdp-2 code to be the same as the others.

There is absolutely no reason that different classes of devices (CD/DAC/Dig Player) should share any of the same codes.
