Yours looks like a WT Record Player. Is that correct? The ebay listing you linked to is a WT Turntable + Tonearm. The Tonearm has adjustable anti-skating the Record Player's tonearm doesn't. I don't buy blue book but I did follow prices for some equipment including old WTs. IIRC, the ebay seller appears to be asking top dollar; although, it does appear to be a clean unit.  My recollection is most WT T+T sold for $900 - $1000. A couple hundred less for a WT RP. They don't come up for sale every day. As an illiquid markets the price is what a buyer will pay. I am curious what the blue book says these sell for as a WT T+T owner.

It looks like a Classic, newer version ( the old one had an opening in the plinth for the motor)
Blue book says $1000... There's none listed on Audiogon today, so post away!
And good luck with your sale.

Well I am but we are in the minority Alan. You could give PinkFishMedia a go but to qualify you have to be a member and have posted over 50 times. Otherwise it will probably have to be eBay with all the scandalous charge! Threadkiller's valuation is spot on for the UK as well. It converts to 650GBP and that should find a buyer.

A potential buyer has asked me to show him the bearing both before I wipe it and after, excuse my ignorance but what should I be looking for, can I tell if it's worn?

The buyer is living in LP12 land me thinks Alan!  Just to indulge him remove the platter and take a pick of the spindle's lower tip. Wipe then take another. He'll be looking for deformity of the said tip's shape and making sure that you haven't been using the deck without oil. I remember during my LP12 days when I had to pack up the inner platter before moving the LP12 around to stop bearing wear. I probably don't need to do it with my Versalex as it doesn't have a bearing but still do as it would otherwise bob around alot and old habits die hard.

Just FYI, it's a Well Tempered Record Player.  I have the original version below with matte plinth and smaller clamp.  Mine is still going very strong with a Benz ACE MO cartridge.

Oh dear, prices are falling, then. A Record player is only worth about $500 stateside...
