Merry Christmas and Happy Tube Rolling

Some time ago, Ted_b and I talked about some tube socket adapters so he could use octal base tubes in his Modwright Transporter.

The Modwright is designed to use the 6H30 so there is no problem with filament current when used with a 6SN7 or similar.

Well, I finally completed a pair of prototypes.

Here are a couple of pictures of my Radii heaphone amp with the stock EL99s and then a pair of EL34.

While I built these mostly so the Modwright Transporter folks can expand their options, I think there are many other uses.

Guitar amps might be able to have fun changing from EL-84 to EL34, depending on bias and filament current from their transformer.

All comments are welcome.

Happy Holidays!
