ok.sorry!

I hope you do have a thread showing the process of building your dedicated room, I love that stuff.

Plus, I want to see where those beautiful Vapor speakers end up!

Some CRAZY set ups here! Figured I'd share one of my own.

This room is music first, HT second.  Normally the TV/easel is stored in the closet, but I wheel it out for movie night or when I'm watching sports by my lonesome (yeah, the missus isn't a big fan of the latter). Simple 5.1 setup with the following in play:

Focus Audio Prestige FP80SE (R/L), FP50 (surrounds) and FPC SE (center)
REL Stentor III sub
Anthem D2V prepro
Parasound Halo 51 amp (for center and surrounds)
Accuphase A50 amp (L/R)
Cary SLP-05 preamp (using the pass through)
Oppo BDP83

I have never seen a portable TV/easel thing.  That is cool.   :thumb:

Love the Focus speakers too, have been to their factory many years ago when I had a sales territory that included their location.  I was shocked when I cold called that door.  They were shocked that some random sales guy had a clue about audio.  Good times!

lol thanks Phil  :thumb:

Stlrman: Yep, I love Maggies for HT. In a more open room like this, they just sound like a million bucks. I'll spare you the long drawn out "origin story" of how I fell in love with Maggies, and just say that IMO they offer a sense of realism and convey a "texture" to film soundtracks that is very hard to beat. I was sold on them very early on when the little entry level MMGs back in 2006 gave me the physical sensation that I was sitting in a canoe with Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. And yes, Im admitting to watching the Notebook, but I just don't care   It was very subtle...there was water sort of splashing up against the side of the boat that sounded so real that it combined with the large screen image to effectively transport me into the movie with them. My ears just connect with the way Maggies transduce sound and vocals. They seduced me ten years ago and our love affair shows no signs of slowing down  :banana piano:

The projector is a Sony VPL45es...I picked it up a few months ago, along with the screen. It's a 125" Reference screen from Elunevision. Im typically more of an audio guy and tend to go cheap on the video side, but I bought this home in July and wanted something a little nicer.

Great idea with the TV/easle!

Thanks!  I saw one of these at Restoration Hardware and it gave me the idea.  What's nice is that it has a wide open space underneath the TV ledge that won't interfere with my center.  Plus I can lower it when I want to store it away.

That's a cool story.  I never heard of them before my dealer had a pair for me to audition.  For some reason they're not very popular in North America.  Apparently they're huge in Japan though. Go figure..
