A lot of the trail was eroded away, so a little tight-rope walking was required - LOL!

I truly had a blast.
Since then, I've heard they went in and completed "homogenized" the path with guard rails, etc.
Completely ruined the sense of danger - crap!
This is part of the trail, with no trail left to walk on - LOL!!
My wife and her friend went with me.

Here's an oldie.
Nanc & I hiked up to Lake Anne on a 3-day hiking/camping trip on Mount Baker, WA.
This is one of several snow caves we explored on the hike up.

A couple of hours out of Bangkok, Thailand is a small village called Petburi.
It is the site of this wondrous underground cave that was turned into a Buddhist temple with hundreds of Buddhist statues. Wild monkeys run everywhere!

OK    40 year studio owner here.
How is high saturation HDR even photography. It is not what was captured when the finger hit the shutter release. Just tweaked in post.
HDR is not real and those who think it is  are simply applauding there wanna be poor choices.
Just my old opinion after looking looking looking.

Everyone has their own taste in photography.
I'm sure you are aware that the human eye sees differenty than what your camera sees.
Looking at a scene, the eye is continuously adjusting to light and dark situations over several minutes, whereas your camera can only see one exposure in less than a second - either the dark or the light exposure.
Taking multiple exposures of a high contrast scene and combining them into one exposure, is an attempt to try and simulate what your eye sees in real life.
To me this translates to what I saw over a given amount of time that day, which is exactly what I wanted to recreate.
Photography allows me to do that.
Thanks!

Nice reply.. And happy when folks do not get provoked or panties in a knot over a post meant to promote lively discussion.  Provocative for sure but I love well thought out banter and tongue in cheek clever conversations. Photography is such an amazing art and I liken the the days of film to the days of vinyl music reproduction with one exception vinyl is coming back and film is only found in the back pages of magazines. I think I probably still see in B&W with extreme shallow DOF due to my age and all the years of getting the shot, exposing the background and rule of thirds.
Best and thanks for chiming in.
Full disclosure: I really do not see an image in over saturated colors and light today which might be that I did not grow up in the days of high resolution, 256M colors on a screen but in only choices of film speed, color or B&W.
All the best.
