Looks like you have a great system. Some of my clients have some of the same speakers and like them a lot.

I remember when I used to have two LARGERs.  You are gonna enjoy that.

I can see why you have some of the gear you do being in the Music Business.

Is that your company or do you work for them?  Selling the actual instruments and hearing them played live, it a perk, many don't get on a regular basis.

Im looking forwards to hearing the Taylos - they arrive this Friday as well. (My plan is to entirely dominate the inside of the UPS truck.) So it will definitely be interesting.

Currently I just work for them. It is definitely alot of fun though.

And yes, getting to hear all the instruments played in front of you so you can compare it to your system - is a treat.

Lots of fun. The Larger subwoofer should be amazing - I guess I will know shortly! Should be fun in my 10.5x10.5x8 room 

The circles looks like alot of fun, lots of knowledge and people here.

Just curious why you painted the phase plugs on your larger?
Your entire setup is awesome, the Ushers look phenominal, I bet they sound even better. Is the power of three to the side of the Ushers subs?

Painting the plugs looks cool and  makes it go lower and tighter. It is powered by the 1000 watt plate amp VMPS now recommends.

I like the Ushers but they don't come close the Hales.

Once your woofer is assembled, give it about 50hrs of burnin and then do the bass damping adjustment, which consists of removing putty from the center of the passive radiator a fingernail full at a time.  You'll end up taking off an amount about the size of a green pea, depending on your equipment and placement in the room.  See the setup sticky on this Forum.

The three keys to integrating a subwoofer into a system are:

1. xover frequency

2. bass level relative to mains

3. bass Q (damping)

Getting all 3 right means the sub will become undetectable until low bass comes along and your furniture starts moving.

Yep, I have test tones and graphs to help with the adjustments...

So will be a fun setup!

The PR adjustment will be interesting though. Never done that before.
