I can understand- I was in high school when Master came out and when Burton died, those were "my Metallica" years. I honestly thought the school should fly the flag at half staff!

To be truthful, I really have to be in the mood to crank up thrash metal nowadays. I guess I'm getting old.

Don't get me wrong; I still dig it. But not on a daily basis like when I was a kid.

Well maybe not anymore because I will be the one cleaning up . But I like the good stuff Nirvana , AC/DC Disturbed............things like that Running about 100-110 db

I was very into heavy metal when I was younger. I bought a Metallica DVD Audio so that I could see what the hubbub (about DVD Audio) was about. I really couldn't listen to the CD the whole way through and wondered what I used to find exciting about that music. Every once in a while, I'll through on some metal, but I now listen to Johnny Cash, Big Head Todd, and the like.

And I go for an obscene mixture of Emmy Lou Harris (her DVD Audio is superb), Laurent deWilde (playing charlie Mingus' "Moanin'" (usually) and Pierre Laurent Aimard playing Beethoven's piano concertos. that's usually enough to finish off the night.
