Well I don't drink much at all.  But if I did. . . AND I listened to And Justice For All, I'd be dead or in jail for damned sure. . .  I almost go postal for no reason when I hear that SOBER.  And don't throw in any old skool Megadeth, or someone is toting an ass whippin'.

Neither of those are big faves of mine, either.  Metallica died when Cliff died, IMO- nothing they did after that added to their musical legacy in a positive way.  I don't mind some Megadeth, but they're a pale shadow of their betters.

But who doesn't like King Diamond?

Hmmm...guess I took you wrong, thought you didn't like that one.  Well, individually, any song on Justice sounds okay...I just can't take more than a few in a row.  There's a sameness to the sound of those songs that gets to me.  I do really like a few songs on there, but before Burton died they sounded pissed at the world.  After, they justs sounded depressed about it.  I dunno.  "Blackened" & "Frayed Ends of Sanity" were cool, and obviously "One" was a classic.  But Master of Puppets was a tough album to top.

To me the Black Album was a little better.  That one started to sound pissed again!     "Load" even had half a dozen good ones.  "Reload" caused me to toss my cookies, though.  After that "load" of shit, I didn't have the heart to even listen to St Anger. :finger:    I loved the days when Hammet's guitar sounded like a circular saw cutting thru sheetmetal.  The slow plodding Sabbath-wannabee sound doesn't become them.

All in all, Slayer's South of Heaven was the best thrash metal album of the era.  That's some good drinkin' music!  Unfortunately, if I put that on then "I drink alone."  No one else I know can stand them.

I like Sepultura Roots for drinking metal.

I saw Soulfly open for Rammstein and I think that was the closest I felt to dying.   Holy crap I felt squished!

Roots is good ass whippin' metal for SURE.

Rob, I dunno really.  I loved Master.  I guess I just identify with Justice most of all because it was my first, and because of its political significance.
