I just found out that Alan Parsons has a new recording out.  It is a bit of a departure from the past heading in the direction of electronica, but it still sounds like the AP I have always been a fan of.  Included in this work are several remakes of older songs that have a fresh new perspective.

It is out now.  The name of it is the title to my post:  A Valid Path.

It is mostly elecronic music that really gives the low end of a decent system quite a workout.  It has very good dynamic contrasts, rare in todays compressed world of recent releases.

Just listened to the Alan Parsons remastered hits at the beach last week. What an album! Reminds me of Pink Floyd of course since he engineered some of their stuff...but what a sonic experience. I will definitely be looking for this one.

I like the new recording, but it is quite a departure from his previous work.
