Has Anyone Checked Out Mcintosh Steamers or DAC's?

I am thinking about getting a Mcintosh MB50 streamer as I am using the DTS Playfi system throughout the house. I have 0 experience with Mcintosh and the MB50 runs from $1500 to $2K.
Can anyone share there experience with a Mac streamer or DAC?
