I REALLY need to flatten some o' my LP's, but don't quite have the $1700 for one of these George Foreman LP griddles.

For all donations,  please send PayPal $$$ to Tonto@teepee.com.  To express my gratitude, I'll send back deer urine to all contributors (well, I THINK it's from deer).

WARNING: this is an attempt at dry humor, should not be taken seriously, & should probably be ignored completely.

That's a wee bit more expensive than the two sheets of glass and your nearest oven...although more controlled obviously.

Or save $800 and get this:

NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS... N-I-N-E--H-U-N-D-R-E-D...for a metal hoop... :o  Do custom wheels for cars even cost this much? Those have gotta require even more machining time.  I don't get where they come up with these markups.  Insanity.

You don't think $900 for a single piece of metal is a bit crazy?

or, yust get an oracle turntable, which works quite nicely - slightly concave platter plus screw-down clamp makes all but the nastiest warps go away...

I totally agree w/ you.  However, high end is high end...

What Doug is saying is one of the Oracle's advantages.  The platter *is* machined to flatten records.  In the belt drive category it's an outstanding piece...
