Beautiful 80’s hand built Sugden Class A/B power amp up for sale. Detailed pics of the condition attached, I rated 6/10 mostly for age. Faceplate is great, a few scratches on top and some paint missing along the top edges of the sides. Looks perfect in a rack from the listening position for sure.
Had Dan Santoni (local Toronto tech guru) go through it in 2017, had the capacitors, rectifiers and input RCA connectors replaced at that time, 100% functional and great sounding since. Ready for ~15 more years of excellent sound.
45wpc into 8ohm, apparently can be bridged via internal jumpers, though I never did that. Warm British sound, high current amp. Sugden builds excellent gear, and this amp delivers. I was using this amp on my DIY Tang Band W5-2143 speakers, and they work well with single drivers. Previously paired Totem speakers agreeably also.
Bought a Sugden integrated with remote this week and downsizing the collection!
