What are you favorite Spanish wines?

Looking at the Sangria recipe thread got me thinking about Spanish wines in general.   I spent 3 weeks in Andulucia, Madrid, and Toledo this spring and consumed vast quantities of red wines.

Some of the best were:

Marquis de Murrietta
El Coto reserve
Muga
Cune

... and many others whose names slipped into the mental fog as the evening wore on.

In a previous life I had the 'misfortune' to go to Spain every couple of months.  The punishment included having to eat and drink   One of the vineyards I was introduced to south of Barcelona was Raimat, 20 years ago Raimat wine was inexpensive but has since been discovered and very fashionable.  One of their very good everyday drinking wines is Raimat Abadia:

Barcelona remains my favorite European city - great food, architecture, lifestyle and climate.

I also remember the old days.  I first bought spanish wines in 1985, buying the '82, 78, and '75 vintages.  Riojas cost $3-5 bucks, with reservas going for $7 ( that is still close to what they cost in Spain).
