I haven't heard that one since forever. I didn't know it was going to be an RSD release, or I would have looked for it.

NICE.  No re-release for me, though.  Got me the original scratchy poppy wonderfulness.

Harry Nilsson
Duit On Mon Dei

Pretty dreadful.  Disappointing.  Need to pick up a copy of Nilsson Schmilsson.

Depending on taste AC you might also try Aerial Ballet, & The Point. He was U-ni-Q . Both as an artist & musician.  8)

Harry Nillson is great! Did you ever see The Point on TV back when it first came out. Really good on herbs. :green:

Ok so I'm about 40 years late to the party, but I finally added this to my collection.  I think the review below pretty much nails it.

Laura, AD,
He was an amazing talent.

No I haven't see The Point, but the documentary talked about it and showed a few clips.  Looked pretty far out!  It also had clips from what looked like a 70s variety show or TV special, but didn't say anything about it.  I'll look for Aerial Ballet and The Point albums.  How is Pandemonium Shadow?  According to All Music Harry sounds like a good album, too.

I've got one of those too. I keep it for sentimental reasons. I actually bought it in Asbury Park when it was first released. I suspect it's one of the first 25,000 sold in its first year. He was a local fella, few outside the Philly-NJ area had heard of him, being heralded as the new Dylan. Not even close in my opinion.

Doc,

Dylan stands alone!

I like Bruce and he puts on a great live show, especially when Clarence was alive. He also wrote some great songs but I agree with you, no where close to Dylan. I have a copy of Greetings from when it came out and I somehow managed to keep it in good shape. It is one of my two or three favorite Bruce abums. I have always liked a lot of the songs on The River, but the recording is gawd-awful.

Nilsson ~ Pandemonium Shadow Show

As a long time Nilsson lover, I would recommend

A Little Touch of Schmilsson in the Night, his take on the great american songbook, long before that was the cool thing to do for over the hill singers.
