Thanks for everyone's suggestions and advice  :thumb:

I have decided not to sell to the person interested from Taiwan.  To be fair, maybe this buyer doesn't know the cost of shipping something like this to his part of the woods.  mix4fix thinking is like mine... my sub is nice but not something that the buyer couldn't find in his own country.

Thanks for the advice about wire transfers.  Will keep that in the memory banks...

Regards,

Randy

FedEx wants $1,500 for shipping a 30" x 30" x 30" box weighing 80 lbs to Taiwan.  DHL is no better.  Not sure what I am missing here...

Hi Randy, what you're missing is that heavy items can only be shipped economically by sea/container. For a single/"small" item though, it doesn't really make a lot of sense.

Hi John:

Thanks for your reply.  I actually did Google shipping via containers and did look at a couple of sites that do what you referenced.  You are correct about using this method for shipping a small item.  It was apparent just from looking at the pictures of the containers being loaded onto the cargo ships.

Randy
