:D and boy do i need them. Songs or full albums that just make you happy no matter how low your feeling.
60's , 70's were full of them. the bands had such hope and talent. :D
hoping for good input here,, ha :D

I would recommend songs from Three Dog Night. You are probably going to want them on vinyl as apparently a record exec threw out the original masters. CDs of their material from the 70s have been very disappointing.

Bad audio, bad video (kinescope) but boy could they sing a tune back in 1958. Saw this on Steve Simels webiste and he makes note how this was shot in one long sequence and has brought me nothing but smiles for the past two days. Especially recommended for those of us 60 and older who endured all of the Hollywood variety shows of an era sorely missed.

The first two Jack Johnson albums remind me of lazy summer days. I usually come down a couple notches in stress when I put them on.
-
Nightmares on Wax, "Feelin' Good" and "In A Space Outta Sound"... all their albums are very good though, and well recorded.

Most of you are probably too young to remember the Dick Clark's American Bandstand TV show back in the 60's. It was the "go to" show for all
teenagers to catch all the new songs and dances. The kids on the show would dance and rate the songs from 1 to 10.
A common line was " I give it a 10 because it has a good beat and it's easy to dance too."
I give this song a 10 because i enjoy the beat and love the dancing!
I even like the accordion playing.http://www.audiocircle.com/Smileys/audiocircle/icon_biggrin.gif It makes me HAPPY!
From the Cumbia genre.

:D danceability is very important for dance songs. ha but your right, a good song gets those toes wiggling or your just plain dead.
we are losing our dances slowly i think. the Who ,, "You Stopped Dancing",,,, dancing is fun. till your GF pressures you to go with
her to lessons. ha then the heat is on. Dancing FUN ,,,, Karaoke ridiculous ..... :D

I have always felt happy when listening to guitarist extraordinaire Eric Johnson's: "Cliffs of Dover" instrumental.
